The School Recital: Planning & Staging
From programme to curtain call
Learning Objectives
At the end of the lesson, learners will be able to: (1) build a recital programme with a clear arc; (2) create a staging and technical plan; (3) assign roles and run a technical rehearsal.
Lesson Discussion
A recital is a project, not just a performance. Learners sequence a programme so that energy rises and rests, plan entrances and staging, and write a short technical plan for sound and lights. We assign production roles and walk through a technical rehearsal. The lesson ends with a risk list — what could go wrong, and who fixes it.
